Product Description

Regulat Pro Bio is a liquid raw, whole, live food product prepared from a special combination of fermented organic fruits, vegetables, herbs, and nuts, including date, fig, walnut, coconut, lemon, soybean, onions, sprouts, celery, artichoke, millet, and peas, with a variety of spices including saffron, bitter orange, anise, fennel, caraway, allspice, curacao, cloves, cinnamon bark, ginger root, cubeb pepper, and tumeric. The process of fermentation used is referred to as a single cascade system, developed and patented in Germany by Dr. Niedermaier Pharma (1), in which lactobacteria are added to stimulate the initial breakdown of the ingredients. The mixture then undergoes a cascading series of partial filtrations and separations. At each separation stage, part of the mixture is filtered out and part receives more lactobacteria to facilitate further breakdown. All the factions are combined in the end, resulting in an undiluted mixture with a full range of short chain peptides and amino acids from the various stages.

The cascade method maintains a transfer of information from partial fermentation to partial fermentation. This unique process mimics natural digestion as it occurs within the human body. No alcohol or other chemicals or preservatives are added other than pure drinking water, lactic acid and plant-based glycerin. The result is a pure, fine decomposition of the original food products, containing readily digestible and bioavailable amino acids, short chain peptides, B-vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, probiotics, antioxidant polyphenolic compounds (2) and many naturally occurring enzymes. Exposure to high temperatures during cooking can destroy many of the valuable enzymes present in raw foods. Other processing and storage techniques, as well as pesticides and food preservatives can also significantly lower the content of functional live enzymes. The Rechts-Regulat fermentation method protects the valuable enzymes from destruction and unlocks their full, energized potential so the body can readily assimilate them and put them to work in critical cellular processes.

Awareness of and interest in probiotics has been increasing, along with our understanding that a healthy digestive tract is key to the overall health of an individual. Fermented foods are an excellent source of naturally occurring probiotic bacteria. Supplementation of probiotic lactobacilli in the diet of animals has been shown to enhance the immune response in several ways including stimulating phagocytosis and NK-cell activity, antibody and cytokine production, and lymphocyte proliferation (3). Consumption of fermented foods may also help to reduce allergy symptoms by enhancing interferon production and reducing certain cytokines associated with inflammation and allergic responses (4). Overall, Regulat® Pro Bio promotes healthy metabolism, stimulates the immune system (2,5), and supports a well-functioning digestive system.
